Support us

After a large recruitment drive last year we're not currently looking for carers or fosterers. However there are other ways you can support our work these include:

Follow us, like us!
We can be found on Facebook and Twitter. If you tweet come and follow us just search for @hertshogline. If you use Facebook then please like our page simply click here. You can then support our work by retweeting our tweets and encouraging your family and friends who also use Facebook to like our page.

Spread the word
We give talks/presentations to local organisations such as the WI, Brownies, Cub Scouts, schools etc. We cover an area within 20 minutes of Stansted Airport, Essex (just off the M11 junction 8a/8). In return for these talks we ask for a minimum donation and if appropriate we sell our cards and key rings.

So if you belong to a group within our catchment area or know of a group or school who would be interested in a talk/presentation then please get the organiser to email me at help@hertshogline.com to discuss.

Please note:
We are able to do talks to schools outside our catchment area by using Skype.

Donate without giving cash

Recently we signed up as an affiliate seller for The Toner Warehouse.

  • Basically follow this link
  • Click on the 'join now' button
  • Complete the form (ensuring 111107 in the last box called 'reference')

Then each time a purchase is made we earn a commission.

I must admit when I signed up I was dubious and believed items would be more expensive than my usual supplier. However I placed an order for a set of printer cartridges and a ream of paper and the cartridges were £7.50 cheaper. So I not only saved myself money but also earned a commission for the hogs.

The Toner Warehouse cover most of the country, so even if someone live hundreds of mile away from us they can still support our work.

Buying from our blog store
If you make a purchase using any of the links in the Amazon widgets in the margins of this blog then we receive a commission for that sale. So again a great way to support us without spending more that you would normally.

Donations of food
If you are in our catchment area and you, a family member or friend sadly loses a beloved pet then rather than let the food go to waste we are always in need of cat or dog food. Any we are unable to use is re-gifted to the Animal Rescue Centre.

Helping other rescue centres
Last but not least remember if you're outside our catchment area you can still help hedgehogs. To discover a hedgehog carer near you research on the British Hedgehog Preservation Society website they have a list of carers nationwide.
